Devín Castle (Hrad Devín)
A dramatic ruin on a cliff where the Morava flows into the Danube, on the old Iron Curtain line. Where Bratislava Castle was rebuilt, Devín was left as Napoleon’s troops blew it up in 1809 — so it is the wilder and more authentic of the two. Take bus 29 from Most SNP. Closed Mondays, and the exhibitions run in summer only.
