Straight down the hill from the castle gate. Eleven kings and eight queens of Hungary were crowned in this Gothic cathedral between 1563 and 1830, and a gilded replica of the Hungarian crown still sits on its 85 m tower. Where the castle is a modern rebuild, this is the genuine medieval article. Note that visits are not possible during Mass.
