Best light for photographs
Late afternoon puts the sun behind the old town and lights the white walls beautifully. For the classic shot of the castle itself, cross to the far bank of the Danube or go up the SNP Bridge observation deck. From the castle terrace, the best view back over the city is in the hour before sunset.
